Romesh Dodangoda nominated for Best Producer at the Heavy Music Awards

Heavy Music Awards, the UK's premier rock and metal awards ceremony, have nominated a host of Aston Mics users for their third annual event, including producer Romesh Dodangoda, IDLES and newcomers Holding Absence.

Romesh is up for the prestigious Best Producer award, recognising his work with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Don Broco and Bring Me The Horizon, who are also nominated for Best UK Band and Best Live Band. Romesh owns a full complement of Aston microphones and accessories, while BMTH's Oli Sykes used Halo Shadow to record vocals on their #1 album Amo.

Defending their 2018 title of Best UK Band, Architects lead the pack with four nominations including Best Album and Best Live Band. 

Holy Hell, the Brighton metalcore band’s first album since the passing of guitarist Tom Searle, faces ferocious competition from Firepower, the latest from British heavy metal icons Judas Priest, as well as IDLES’ much-lauded burst of politically-charged energy Joy As An Act Of Resistance.

As well as recording and live, the Bristol collective have been known to use Aston Spirit and Origin for some rather unconventional antics…
