Touring with LOUD bands and Aston mics - FOH engineer Jeremy Snyder

Brooklyn-based Front of House sound engineer Jeremy Snyder looks after the live sound for loud live bands, including high-octane UK rock outfit Idles when they’re touring the USA. A friend of Idles other go-to sound man, Chris Fullard, Jeremy once got a gig touring with influential African band Tinariwen, because the band’s management thought he was Chirs!

In our exclusive interview Jeremy tells all about his obsession with data, phase relationships, his love of the challenge of working in terrible venues with even worse PA systems anf touring with his Aston Spirit and Starlight mics.

“My favourite is the Starlight. Starlights are just unreal, they’re my favourite of any small diaphragm condensers.” He said.
